2016 Hyundai Tucson

2016 Honda CR-V

Thanks to the 2016 Hyundai Tucson, Savannah, Beaufort, and Hilton Head Island drivers  have a compact SUV that's comfortable, powerful, stylish, and a joy to take out on the road! It's clearly the winner when compared to the 2016 Honda CR-V, especially with its ergonomic designs, innovative technology, and base pricing that delivers an incredible value.

Pricing that Makes a Difference

Details that make the Tucson the best in its class are noticeable even from the stickers. Although similar in size and capacity, the 2016 Tucson and its trims have an MSRP range of $22,700-$29,900, while the 2016 CR-V's MSRP range is $23,745-$32,095.

Commanding Performance

The Tucson delivers top-notch FWD or AWD performance as smooth as silk, in each of its four trims. A six-speed Shifttronic® automatic transmission and active Eco system powers the SE's 164-hp 2.0L engine with 151 lb. ft. torque, while the Eco, Sport, and Limited have a 175-hp 1.6L turbocharged engine with 195 lb. ft. torque, and seven-speed EcoShift® dual clutch transmission. Conversely, the CR-V's LX, SE, EX, EX-L, and Touring only have a 185-hp 2.4L engine with 181 lb. ft. torque, with 2WD or AWD CVT, which is disappointing for a crossover that should be impressive right from under the hood.

Sharp Features

The 2016 Tucson shows off a snazzier appearance and a cozier interior, than the 2016 CR-V:

  • 2016 Hyundai Tucson: There's no mistaking the distinctive wide grille arching upwards into low-beam LED headlights, that announces the 2016 Hyundai Tucson. It's artfully sculpted with a 105.1" wheelbase, 17"-19" wheels, heated side mirrors with turn signal indicators, metallic painted side sills, and front solar and rear privacy glass. Inside luxury includes 41.5" front leg, 55.6" front hip, and 54.5" rear hip room, reclining rear seats with air vents, six-way adjustable seats, and an eight-way power driver seat. The Limited's Ultimate package adds heated rear seats, panoramic sunroof, and HID headlights with dynamic bending lighting system.
  • 2016 Honda CR-V: The 2016 Honda CR-V has shorter dimensions, with 41.3" front leg, 54.5" front hip, and 53.1" rear hip room. There's also smaller wheel options, and a wheelbase of 103.1". The front fascia and grille are clunky and not as affirmative looking as befits this kind of vehicle.

Streamlined Technology

A crisp layout defines the Tucson's intuitive features. There's an 8" touchscreen with real-time NavTraffic, eight-speaker audio system with USB connectivity, HD Radio and SiriusXM®, and a Proximity Key that can trigger the hands-free liftgate within three feet. Everything creates a seamless profile, and makes it easy for driver or passenger to comfortably access. The 7" touchscreen and four to seven-speaker audio system in the CR-V are not as comprehensive, and don't show as much ingenuity or distinction.
